KEVIN
LONGMAN
entered the building industry in 1964 as a building cadet and has gained
experience in many aspects of the industry including physical construction,
supervision, project management, construction management and reporting, as well
as acting in the capacity of arbitrator, mediator and as an expert witness.
Kevin has completed the Fellowship examination requirements and was admitted as
a Fellow of the Arbitrators' and Mediators Institute of New Zealand Inc in May
2001. In November 2003, he was approved by AMINZ for admission as a
Registered Adjudication Panel Member and in 2005, as a Registered Arbitration
Panel Member.
He is a Registered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Building
Surveyors (NZIBS), and a Certified Weathertight Inspector. Kevin acted as President
of the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors from 2001-2005, through the
"leaky building" crisis and the subsequent implementation of new legislation.
He is also a remedial panel member of NZIBS.
